HUNGARY, Europe- Erno Rubik invented the Rubik's Cube. The Rubik's Cube was made in Hungary, in April 1974. Puzzle makers have been making problems for people to solve for centuries. The Rubik's Cube seems to be made out of 26 smaller cubes and six faces, each made of small faces each of the same color.
Erno Rubik, an architect at the University of Budapest, developed the first working prototype of the Rubik's cube in 1974. He was the son of a poet mother and glider-manufacturer father. He is married to Agnes Hegely and had two daughters named Agnes and Anna, and his two sons Erno III and Szonja. |
The Rubik's Cube was originally called the Magic Cube. The Rubik's Cube has six squares in the center of each side which connect to the core of the cube. These pieces provide structure for other pieces to fit and rotate. There are approximately 43 quintillion ways to scramble a Rubik's Cube.
The Rubik's cube gives you Spatial Intelligence and Brain training, to help keep your mind "in shape". You can buy a Rubik's cube at the Rubik's store for $12.99. |
